Articles Artist Yi Young Uk: A World of Uncanny Sensations Through Repetitive Imagery Yi Young Uk (b. 1991) explores how the form of repetition functions effectively in contemporary contexts. For instance, he experiments with various organic expressions that break away from rigid formal frameworks—such as creating patterns through the repetition of realistically rendered images, deconstructing forms, or translating them from two-dimensional surfaces into three-dimensional structures.

Articles [Critique] Art in Practice after Sewol Ferry Disaster “It will be cloudy across the country with rains in many places in the southern regions.”Those were the words formed by the immaculate cut–up strips of metal foil neatly arranged on the window. Then the sky gradually grew darker, and it really began to rain. As the raindrops began to glide down the glass window against the sullen scenery outside, the overlapping sentence took on an uncanny meaning. I found myself reading the same sentence over and over again.
